Air Navigation Solutions appoints Sally Franks to lead its gatwick operation

Air Navigation Solutions (ANSL), a leading UK air traffic management provider has appointed Sally Franks as its General Manager at Gatwick Airport.

 

Sally has 20 years industry experience in the air traffic management (ATM) industry, and her role at ANS will include leading the team of air traffic controllers and service assistants and overseeing the delivery of air traffic services at London Gatwick Airport.

 

She was previously with GAL Air Navigation Services, based in Abu Dhabi, and was General Manager of its Abu Dhabi Airports operations for three years.

 

After completing an MSc in Air Transport Management, Sally’s career in air traffic control (ATC) begun with the Royal Air Force where her role involved airspace utilisation. She went on to become an ATM specialist for QuinetiQ and has since held senior ATC development and procedural roles throughout the Middle East over the past 10 years.

Sally’s arrival marks ANS’ three-year anniversary of operations at London Gatwick, the busiest single runway operation in the world, where it has provided air traffic control and engineering services since March 2016.
