About the role…
We’re looking for an experienced ATC Operations Specialist – Safety to join our Head Office team at Gatwick. Reporting directly into the Managing Director and with independent access to the Board, the postholder ensures that ANSL’s safety, compliance, and delivery practices remain robust, effective, and aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements. This position integrates the regulatory Safety Manager function in the form of ANSL’s Safety Oversight Manager (SOM) with the responsibilities of the Delivery Specialist (DS) role within ANSL ensuring the support and successful delivery of projects by providing ATM related expertise and advice.
Taking on the SOM function for ANSL, this role carries responsibility for independent safety assurance, operational support, and delivery oversight within ANSL.
The role includes line management of the Document Control and Compliance Officer (DCCO) which is ANSL’s central compliance role. The Operations Specialist – Safety in their capability as SOM is responsible for the development and implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS), Quality Management System (QMS), and Security Management System (SecMS), and promotes a safety-first culture across all ANSL activities.
