Air Navigation Solutions working with mental health charity Aviation Action

9th October, 2020: Air Navigation Solutions Ltd. (ANSL) a leading UK air traffic management provider, is now working with Aviation Action, a recently launched charity that provides mental health support to people working in the aviation industry.

Aviation Action was launched in May 2020 by Chris Wild, the Head of Airfield Operations at Manchester Airport. He established the charity because he felt that accessible mental health support should be available for those working across the aviation industry.

Aviation Action’s mission is to provide personal and professional support to the people across the aviation industry, from flight deck to firefighters and caterers to air traffic engineers. They offer services such as mental health support, a peer to peer support network and career and recruitment advice.

ANSL’s Managing Director, Henry Game said: “Now more than ever, supporting each other and working together is paramount as we look to overcome one of the biggest challenges our industry has ever faced.”

Air Navigation Solutions will support Aviation Action by offering its professional services. HR Director, Peter Waller will lead the way by running career and recruitment advice sessions. Pete will provide virtual workshops on behalf of Aviation Action where he will discuss CVs, provide application support and offer interview preparation. Registration will open shortly.

ANSL Employees also have the opportunity to be involved with Aviation Action’s peer support network. The support network is comprised of aviation professionals and aims to provide personal and professional guidance to those in the industry seeking help. The peer support network aims to increase self-esteem, well-being and confidence.

HR Director, Pete Waller commented: “At ANSL, the mental wellbeing of our employees and industry colleagues is a key priority. We couldn’t be more excited to work alongside Aviation Action and make a difference.”

Aviation Action Founder, Chris Wild agreed: “The Aviation Action Board of Trustees has been humbled by the response from across the industry to support their aviation colleagues. ANSL’s pro-active engagement to work with us across a number of initiatives is a great example of this and will help make a real difference.”
